In 1980 President Jimmy Carter declared March 2nd-8th National Women’s History Week’, and since then, the U.S. has declared the entire month of March to Women’s History.
Each year the National Women’s History Alliance selects a theme to be communicated and embodied throughout the month. This year is the theme encompassed the spirit of challenging times and was titled; Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced.
